US shutdown could affect GovSat satellite launch
Luxembourg joint venture seeks to offer highly secure data transmission for governments, institutions
The US government shutdown could delay the launch of GovSat's first satellite – a 50/50 joint venture between the Luxembourg government and Luxembourg-based global satellite operator SES.
Scheduled to launch on 30 January from the Florida-based Cape Canaveral Air Force station, SES chief executive Karim Sabbagh said on Monday the spacecraft was undergoing final tests.
