Luxembourg's director of Treasury, Isabelle Goubin, has been reappointed chairwoman of the board at the Commissariat aux assurances (CAA).
She will remain at the top of the insurance comission until January 2023.
The appointment was published on Wednesday in Luxembourg's official journal and follows a decision taken by the Government Council in December 2017.
She is joined in her second mandate by current vice-president of the Council of the Commissariat aux Assurances Pascale Toussing, who will also retain her position for five more years.
Within the Finance Ministry, Goubin has also served as chair of Luxembourg's financial regulator, the Commission de surveillance du secteur financier (CSSF), since 2014.
Goubin also serves as secretary general of the High Committee of the Financial Centre and is a member of the Executive Committee of Luxembourg for Finance.
At the European Union level, she is a member of the Economic and Financial Committee, as well as the Eurogroup Working Group.
She acts as the alternate governor, is a member of the board at the European Stability Mechanism and serves as a member of the board at the European Financial Stability Facility.
Goubin graduated in finance from the University of Geneva, holds an MBA in strategic management from San Diego State University and has a degree in international business law from the University of Zurich.
