Israeli company linked to data breaches, human rights abuses is based in Luxembourg
The recent controversy around Israeli spyware firm NSO has put a focus on the fact that Luxembourg - unlike some of its neighbours - lacks proper legislation to vet foreign companies for human rights abuses.
NSO Group, the spyware firm media reports have linked to the WhatsApp data breach and the assassination of dissident Saudi Arabian journalist Jamal Khashoggi, is based in Luxembourg.
