Luxembourg's government has named Diane Dupont as president of the administration board of the Fonds du logement on Friday.
Dupont, an architect who joined the Housing Ministry in 2002, where she has worked as first councillor since 2014, was nominated after a proposal from the housing minister, Marc Hansen.
Hansen said he was convinced the new president of the board would be able to forge a strategic path to the objectives of the Fonds while working closely with members of the board.
Dupont joins the government agency at a turbulent time.
Her predecessor, Claude Wagner, resigned from the post in October, not even four months after taking the job.
Before him, Tania Fernandes resigned in June 2017 amid reports of internal strife at the agency as she was trying to implement a new reform.

Fernandes had taken over from Daniel Miltgen, who was dismissed by the government in early 2015 following an audit, due to a lack of trust.
The Fonds is also still looking for a new director to succeed Mario Schweitzer on January 1.
Pitt Mathieu, who had been designated to fill the position, turned it down for "personal reasons".
Now that the administration board is complete again, it will be able to vote in a new director.
Candidates can apply until January.
Dupont worked in the private sector for two years before joining the government.
From 2012 to 2014, she served as president of the administration board of the Société nationale des habitations à bon marché (SNHBM).
