Draft bills to crack down on money laundering
Information about beneficial owners to be made available to certain organisations, including national authorities, investigative journalists
Two draft bills have been put forward to the Luxembourg government in a bid to prevent money laundering and the financing of terrorism by making information about beneficial owners available to certain people and organisations.
A 'beneficial owner' enjoys the benefits of ownership even though the title to a given property is held by someone else.
