(ADW) German drugstore chain Schlecker is about to file for bankruptcy. After recently undergoing restructuring, the group already announced the closure of hundreds of subsidiaries. Schlecker employs approximately 47,000 people and has over 25 stores in Luxembourg.
Schlecker, a family business run quite secretively and often criticised in Germany for working conditions in its stores, said in a statement that its goal was to keep "most of its branches and jobs."
