Pupils at St George's International School got into the festive spirit on Friday by sporting seasonal sweaters, socks and ties to raise money for charity.
Around 550 pupils and staff took part in the inaugural “xmas jumper day”, donning clothing decorated with santas, snowmen, stars and Christmas trees.
Each participant made a donation of one euro with all proceeds going to UK charity Save the Children.
Friday was a day for good deeds it would seem as in the morning around 50 eight to nine-year-olds sang Christmas carols at the nearby hospice in Hamm. It was the first year the school sang for hospice guests, who were deeply touched by the gesture.
